Seton Hall University has a grant from the Booth Ferris Foundation in partnership with Ramapo College.
The grant, which totals $40,000 with matching funds from each institution, will support a joint project in which 10 faculty members from each school will integrate a digital humanities tool or skill set into a course they teach. The project, which will run during the 2019-20 academic year, will have the faculty visiting each campus on alternate months for workshops about DH tools and to see examples of the tools at work.
Information About the Contribution Program
The Booth Ferris Foundation was established in 1957 under the wills of Willis H. Booth and his wife, Chancie Ferris Booth. Since that time, approximately $281 million has been contributed from the Foundation to worthy organizations for a variety of charitable purposes. Grants are made to charitable organizations that are exempt from federal taxes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and that are not classified as private foundations.
The Higher Education Program of the Booth Ferris Foundation provides capacity building support for institutions of higher education in the Northeastern United States.
