Professor Shannon Applauded by SHU Faculty
In a recent e-mail sent out by the dean of the Stillman School of Business, Joyce Strawser, the Leadership Program’s own Professor Shannon was distinguished among many faculty members.
Below is an excerpt from the e-mail:
“Congratulations to Professor Jack Shannon, who was awarded the Albert B. Hakim Faculty Service Medal at today’s SHU Faculty Convocation. The Hakim Medal is ‘bestowed upon a full-time South Orange faculty member for giving copiously of her or his time, energy, and personal gifts to advance the status and interests of the faculty and, thereby, the academic mission of the University.'”
Professor Shannon’s diligent work and sacrifice directly improves the well-being of all who surround him. The Leadership members are well aware of all the countless hours he selflessly dedicates to all his students and co-workers. He exemplifies what it truly means to be a leader. We congratulate Professor Shannon on his well-deserved recognition!
