It is this that differentiates great leader from their peers taking them from just meeting expectations to delivering the extraordinary, from a mindset of limitations to one of infinite possibilities, from a belief that the ‘what is’ is the start of ‘what can be.’ It is the great leaders’ aspirational mindset and focus going beyond and giving more than the expected.
This sentiment is beautifully captured by Roy T. Bennett in his book, The Light in the Heart. He tells great leaders to Don’t Just:
