Brian Sumereau Earns First Place at Speech Competition
Brian Sumereau, a freshman in the Leadership Development Honors Program, has recently competed at the National Christian Collegiate Forensics Invitational at Azusa Pacific University. As a dedicated member of the Speech and Debate Team, Brian helped defend their championship position.
Brian earned the title as “the top speaker in the nation in the novice division” along with other achievements across 4 categories of speaking.
Brian’s accomplishments represent a statement that Mike tells every class early in the program, “You will reach higher than you ever did before.” As a freshman, Brian has set the stage for what is to come within his future years on the Speech and Debate Team. The Leadership Development Honors Program wishes their fellow member good luck as he competes at the American Forensics National Tournament in Colorado Springs in the beginning of April, as they know he will succeed and do his best.
