Women Mentoring Women

As indicated in our previous post, the new initiative of Women Mentoring Women will be introduced to the Leadership Program this Fall. Below is more information about this exciting new Mentoring Program. Thank you to Ali Kruse, Dhara  Patel, Noel Girgenti, Rowena Klein, and Sheena Shah of our Team for making this all possible!

Mission Statement:
Prepare the Leadership Development Honors Program’s women for highly successful careers by empowering and educating them about the unique experiences that women face throughout their lives.
Vision Statement:
This program will allow its members to build relationships with multiple female executives. The learning opportunity will include mentoring by female executives who will guide their mentees by sharing their insights, experiences, and tools which they have found effective in achieving their personal and professional goals. This will open the participant’s horizons and enhance their leadership abilities, thus providing not only a pipeline to networking, but also invaluable, hands-on experience. By taking advantage of opportunities within the program such as shadowing and executive during their workday or attending a panel discussion, members will leave the program feeling more confident moving forward in their careers.
Goals and Objectives:
Empower women to conquer their future by learning of the many different
strengths and opportunities available for them.
Offer a wide array of networking and mentoring opportunities to the women participants.
Ensure future growth and success of participating female students.

Program Activities:
Individual Mentoring Sessions:
Mentoring Sessions will be held where each student will get the opportunity to be guided by and shadow an executive from the Leadership Women’s Program Team. Each mentoring experience will be carved by each mentor and mentee’s noted interests.
Executives Panel Discussions/Networking Events:
Panel discussions, encompassing a group of female and male executives, will be held revolving around an assigned topic. Furthermore, numerous social and professional networking events will be scheduled where the executives and students will have an opportunity to get to know one another even more personally.
