The following information came out of last night’s Team Filardi Group Mentoring Session when they discussed with the Executives how to have a highly successful day at the Career and Internship Fair. · Well dressed and groomed · Firm, not limp, hand-shake · Look in the eye and not on the floor · Be curious and get the recruiters talking about themselves · Remember their name… when you are leaving them say “Thank you….(name). It’s about likeability and being personable. · Demonstrate confidence. · Be concrete and specific – tell them what you have done and what you can do for their company. · Do research on the companies you will be visiting. · Do not interview the recruiter; do your research, but don’t ask Knock their socks off with you passion and enthusiasm, professionalism and confidence.
