Three Minute Leadership: “LEAP” into Extreme Leadership

A good friend shared with me Steve Farber’s great book, The Radical Leap – A Personal Lesson in Extreme Leadership. Extreme leadership is captured interplay of Love, Energy, Audacity and Proof.  Farber captures the beauty and richness of this interplay writing:  “Love generates, Energy, inspires Audacity, and requires Proof.  LEAP… is simply the Extreme Leader’s active, dynamic expression of Love.”  It is Love that fuels extreme leadership.  Farber writes: 

“Love is the ultimate motivation of the Extreme Leader: love of something or someone; love of a cause; love of a principle; love of the people you work with and the customers you serve; love of the future you and yours can create together…. Without the calling a commitment of your heart, there’s no good reason for you to take a stand, to take a risk, to do what it take to change your world for the better.”

Be an Extreme Leader in all that you do.  Be an Extreme Leader of your life.  Be an Extreme leader in your business, community and the life of all whom you touch.  “Life is full of wonderful exclamation points…question marks, asterisks… everywhere you look,” says Farber.  Enjoy the journey and fill your life with love and passion!  Be more than you ever dreamed you could be.  And have fun doing it.
