Rather than post a lengthy PDF, we&#8217;ve summarized the year below with links to our accomplishments.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Developed a new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shu.edu\/academics\/diplomacy\/certificate-united-nations-studies.cfm\" target=\"_blank\">UN Studies graduate certificate program<\/a> which is launching this fall<\/li>\n<li>Released a pair of research reports that were developed with students on <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/unstudies\/2015\/05\/02\/project-findings-us-public-opinion-of-the-united-nations\/\" target=\"_blank\">US public opinion of the UN<\/a> and on how <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/unstudies\/2015\/06\/16\/research-findings-investigating-twiplomacy\/\" target=\"_blank\">International Organizations use Twitter.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Held a pair of talks with Diplomacy alumni in the field who talked about their work for the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/unstudies\/2014\/09\/22\/video-abagail-lawson-talk-915\/\" target=\"_blank\">NGO Working Group on the Security Council<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/unstudies\/2014\/11\/06\/video-roger-nokes-talk-1027\/\" target=\"_blank\">Friends of UNFPA<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Hosted talks by distinguished practitioner visitors to the school on the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/unstudies\/2014\/11\/26\/video-adama-dieng-talk-1110\/\" target=\"_blank\">state of genocide prevention<\/a>, on <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/unstudies\/2015\/04\/26\/patriota-talk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Brazil&#8217;s role<\/a> in the international arena, on the UN&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/unstudies\/2015\/03\/31\/1541\/\" target=\"_blank\">experience with R2P<\/a>, and on the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/unstudies\/2015\/06\/02\/talksdiplo-what-are-the-sdgs-and-why-can-they-change-the-world\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sustainable Development Goals<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Led a pair of webinars with our partners at UNA-USA on <a href=\"http:\/\/genun.unausa.org\/webinar_the_road_to_the\" target=\"_blank\">climate change<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/genun.unausa.org\/webinar_recording_building_the_post_2015_development_agenda\" target=\"_blank\">post-2015<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Offered new opportunities for students to connect with the UN through <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/unstudies\/2015\/03\/05\/una-usa-members-day-recap\/\" target=\"_blank\">UNA Members Day<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/unstudies\/2015\/02\/07\/briefing-report-ecosoc-youth-forum\/\" target=\"_blank\">ECOSOC Youth Policy Forum<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/unstudies\/2015\/04\/15\/briefing-report-ecosoc-integration-segment\/\" target=\"_blank\">ECOSOC Integration Segment<\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/unstudies\/2014\/09\/12\/school-of-diplomacy-community-contributes-to-un-conference\/\" target=\"_blank\">DPI\/NGO<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/unstudies\/2014\/10\/04\/global-citizens-home-grown-at-the-diplomacy-school\/\" target=\"_blank\">2014 Conference<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Appointed two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.edu\/news\/article\/505602#.Va93B7VPUXg\" target=\"_blank\">student Youth Reps<\/a> through our partnership with the UN Department of Public Information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I&#8217;d be remiss if I didn&#8217;t close with some comments on the blog itself. This marks our 100th blog post. The blog has been viewed by people from over 140 countries, and every US state save Wyoming. Fully 1\/2 of our content has been provided by current students and alumni, exemplifying our main objective to create deeper synergies between students and faculty.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"mailto:martin.edwards@shu.edu\" target=\"_blank\">Martin S.
