The NGO Committee on Sustainable Development-NY is pleased to present 2017 Bonn COP23 Climate Change Paper1 containing Recommendations to Governments on four critical issues: (1) implementing the Paris agreement on climate change at Bonn COP23; (2) the dangers of unmitigated climate change impacts; (3) risk-management mitigation and adaptation strategies; and (4) assistance to developing countries. Journal of the United Nations

The Journal of the United Nations is published by the Journal Unit of the Department for General Assembly and Conference Management. It is issued daily in English and in French. During the main part of the General Assembly session (September to December), it is also issued in Arabic, Chinese, Russian, and Spanish. You can look up the UN events and meetings by date.

 

How can civil society help #BeatPollution?

The third session of the United Nations Environment Assembly will take place in Nairobi from 4 to 6 December 2017 under the theme “Towards a Pollution-Free Planet”. In the run-up to the Assembly, UN Environment is leading a global campaign to #BeatPollution. This campaign aims to inspire people, civil society organisations, governments and the private sector to reduce their pollution footprint and call for leaders to take decisive action on pollution. UNAOC launches call for Young Peacebuilders in MENA

The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) is pleased to launch the call for applications for the Young Peacebuilders in Middle East and North Africa programme. The call is open to participants between 18 to 25 years old, from the region, with a strong interest in growing their ability to act as agents of peace in their community, region and beyond.
