In particular, artists around the world have used a variety of mediums to convey their perspectives on Republican candidate Donald Trump and his policies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A former Trump <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.marymihelicartist.com\/Mary_Mihelic_Home.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">campaign bus<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> went up for sale on Craigslist, and artists Mary Mihelic and David Gleeson transformed it into a traveling <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.economist.com\/blogs\/prospero\/2016\/09\/political-art\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">anti-Trump piece<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Mihelic and Gleeson redesigned the bus to read <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.marymihelicartist.com\/Mary_Mihelic_Home.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">T.RUMP instead of TRUMP<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. \u00a0His campaign slogan was then crossed out and replaced with a taunting \u201c#women trump trump\u201d on one side and \u201c#make fruit punch great again\u201d on the other. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Historian Enrique Krauze has also been an <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.motherjones.com\/media\/2016\/09\/donald-trump-hitler-mustache-american-fascist-letras-libres\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">outspoken critic<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> of the Republican nominee for repeatedly scapegoating Mexico and Mexicans in his campaign and demanding that the nation pay for a massive border wall to <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/entry\/donald-trump-hitler-mustache_us_57eca72fe4b082aad9b94af5\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">keep out immigrants<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. The cover of the October issue of Krauze\u2019s Mexican literary magazine <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Letras Libres<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is a critique of Trump. It shows a magnified image of his face with the words <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/thehill.com\/latino\/298614-mexican-magazine-cover-shows-trump-with-american-fascist-hitler-mustache\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;Fascista Americano&#8221;<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (American Fascist) lined over his top lip to create the shape of a Hitler-style mustache.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mindaugas Bonanu, a Lithuanian artist, continued the trend and <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/entry\/donald-trump-vladimir-putin-kissing-street-art_us_573994f2e4b060aa781aad29\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">painted a mural<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> highlighting the similarities between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Drawing on a <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/time.com\/4336396\/lithuania-mural-donald-trump-vladimir-putin-kiss\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">famous 1979 photo<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> of Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev and East German President Erich Honecker, Bonanu painted Trump and Vladimir Putin kissing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The piece appears on the walls of Keul\u0117 R\u016bk\u0117, a Lithuanian restaurant, and offers a critique on the sort of \u201cunsavory\u201d alliances that might emerge if Trump were to be elected into office. It presents their similarities boldly; they both have huge egos, and it\u2019s amusing to see they are getting along well. Trump has been <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/entry\/donald-trump-vladimir-putin-kissing-street-art_us_573994f2e4b060aa781aad29\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">quoted<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> saying that Putin is \u201cgoing to say great things,\u201d and that Mr. Putin is \u201creally very much of a leader.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Critics believe that Trump\u2019s comments only contribute to the idea that women are worth less than men, and that he, as a man, holds all the power. There has been an attempt to combat this overblown focus on manliness. Upon listening to the March 3 Republican Primary Debate, American artist Sarah Levy became<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/femail\/article-3236927\/Artist-fires-presidential-candidate-Donald-Trump-s-outrageous-sexist-comments-painting-portrait-using-menstrual-blood-tampon.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> offended<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> by a controversial comment trump made about FOX debate moderator Megyn Kelly. Following the Republican presidential debate on Fox News, Trump said of moderator Kelly, \u201cYou could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To respond, Levy painted a portrait of Donald J. Trump entirely out of her own <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.economist.com\/blogs\/prospero\/2016\/09\/political-art\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">menstrual blood<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/femail\/article-3236927\/Artist-fires-presidential-candidate-Donald-Trump-s-outrageous-sexist-comments-painting-portrait-using-menstrual-blood-tampon.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Levy stated<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, \u201cWomen are totally capable when they are on their period and that shouldn\u2019t even be an issue,\u201d and if Trump thinks he can bring up a woman&#8217;s period to insult their intelligence, he should think again. Many people got <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/raycomgroup.worldnow.com\/story\/30040929\/portland-artist-uses-menstrual-blood-to-paint-portrait-of-donald-trump\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">behind her artwork<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and Levy quickly saw people tweeting their own anger at the politician with the #BloodyTrump similar to the women who wrote about their own periods using the hashtag #PeriodsAreNotAnInsult. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In order to process Trump\u2019s controversial comments and the impact they have on society, the public has turned to art.
