I really enjoyed listening to your presentation on this topic. In the current state of the world, the social isolation of older adults is a very important topic. I have always had an interest in the well-being of older adults and agree with your recommendations. I think that there should be more policies made to help support the older adults who are in isolation. I enjoyed learning more about this topic from you and hope that someday soon we will see more resources for older adults in isolation due to the pandemic.
Great presentation, Courtney! I agree that isolation for older adults was an issue before covid and now it has become even more so.
Hey Courtney, I enjoyed watching through your presentation as it was super informative. I was really shocked to know how much the percentage rose for self-isolated older adults. I liked your recommendations as they really focus on ways to bring a change with this issue with the specific population of older adults. Your recommendation of starting campaigns to end the stigma about old age people is great because more attention needs to be raised for this population so they can feel valued and engaged. Great work!
Wonderful presentation and poster, Courtney. This is a very important conversation and the negative effects of social isolation during Covid (and other times) has been significant. Good discussion of social work interventions and connection to the Grand Challenges of Social Work and Society.
