The newest big-name WNBA star has landed in Dallas after the Wings drafted Paige Bueckers with the first overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft. Bueckers was the catalyst of the national championship winning UConn Huskies, becoming the historic program\u2019s top scorer in the women\u2019s tournament.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bueckers’ collegiate career at UConn was nothing short of spectacular, despite being interrupted by an unfortunate knee injury that sidelined her for a significant portion of her sophomore season. The superstar guard averaged 19.8 PPG, 4.7 RPG, and 4.6 APG in 119 starts for the program. She also contributed on the defensive end, adding 2.1 steals per game and almost a block a game.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
