Kendrick Lamar has caused a booming trend in bootcut jeans after his Superbowl LIX performance in February. Lamar\u2019s performance ensemble featured light washed bootcut Celine Jeans paired with a custom Martine rose jacket and Nike Shox. The wide legged jeans draped over his sneakers trended all over social media for the voluminous style choice. Lamar\u2019s bold and expressive fashion choices added a whole other dimension to his Superbowl performance, and now celebrities are taking inspiration from Lamar\u2019s style.<\/p>\n

Bella Hadid has always been an avid fan of bootcut jeans, as the model is commonly seen wearing them. Recently, Hadid was seen wearing low waisted and light wash bootcut jeans similar to Lamar\u2019s on-stage jeans. Hadid embraced the aesthetics of the early 2000s and western attire by wearing an orange and blue patterned top. She paired the outfit with a wide black leather belt.<\/p>\n

Rihanna has been the latest celebrity to embrace Lamar\u2019s fashion trends. She wore the exact same pair of Celine Marco jeans and paired it with a leather jacket, similar to Lamar\u2019s styling choices. Rihanna also added knee high boots and a furry shawl to complete the look. Rihanna and Bella Hadid are just two celebrities out of many who love form fitting jeans and are bringing them out into the spotlight like Kendrick Lamar.<\/p>\n

The public was fascinated when various social media outlets released that Lamar\u2019s performance jeans were originally meant to be worn by actor Timothee Chalamet. It was not disclosed why the bottoms were shifted from Chalamet to Lamar. Taylor McNeil is the stylist for both Chalamet and Lamar who was responsible for this styling choice, but again has not disclosed the reasons for the attire swap. While McNeil was collaborating to create the Superbowl performance wear, it was important to consider the silhouette of Lamar himself. Lamar stands at a height of 5 feet 6 inches, so the women\u2019s Celine jeans were perfect for his stature. This opens up discussion about clothing sizing and having more options, or easier ways, to alter clothing in order to cater to different body proportions that people have.<\/p>\n

Baggy jeans have been consuming trends for the past couple years. Since the start of 2025, more form fitting silhouettes have been coming into the spotlight. Silhouettes such as Lamar\u2019s Celine jeans give off a cool and contemporary appearance. Especially since his fashion and styling choices have been loved and replicated by celebrities, this could influence upcoming trends and shift consumer interest in silhouette styles and various clothing.<\/p>\n
