<\/a><\/p>\nSo far, we have not found records that indicate who fabricated these windows. Each window depicts a vignette from the Mysteries of the Rosary. Each is framed in blue and in a modified Art Deco Gothic style. This corresponds to the period of construction of the chapel \u2013 the 1930s. They are similar in style and quality to the magnificent art deco windows in St. Vincent DePaul Church in Bayonne by Harry Clarke of Dublin.<\/p>\n
Interpretation of the existing records indicates that the chapel was added in 1932, incorporating part of the existing commercial school.<\/p>\n

His mercy is from age to age to those who fear him. He has shown might with his arm, dispersed the arrogant of mind and heart. He has thrown down the rulers from their thrones but lifted up the lowly. The hungry he has filled with good things; the rich he has sent away empty. He has helped Israel his servant, remembering his mercy, according to his promise to our fathers, to Abraham and to his descendants forever.\u201d Mary remained with her about three months.<\/p>\n Luke 2: 1-20<\/strong><\/p>\n While they were there, the time came for her to have her child, and she gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cNow there were shepherds in that region living in the fields and keeping the night watch over their flock. The angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were struck with great fear. The angel said to them, \u2018Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.\u2019<\/p>\n And suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying: \u2018Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.\u2019 When the angels went away from them to heaven, the shepherds said to one another, \u2018Let us go, then, to Bethlehem to see this thing that has taken place, which the Lord has made known to us.\u2019 So, they went in haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the infant lying in the manger. When they saw this, they made known the message that had been told them about this child. All who heard it were amazed by what had been told them by the shepherds. And Mary kept all these things, reflecting on them in her heart. Then the shepherds returned, glorifying, and praising God for all they had heard and seen, just as it had been told to them.\u201d<\/p>\n Luke 2: 22-40<\/strong><\/p>\n Now there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon. This man was righteous and devout, awaiting the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he should not see death before he had seen the Messiah of the Lord. He came in the Spirit into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus to perform the custom of the law in regard to him, he took him into his arms and blessed God, saying: \u2018Now, Master, you may let your servant go in peace, according to your word, for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you prepared in sight of all the peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and glory for your people Israel.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe child\u2019s father and mother were amazed at what was said about him; and Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, \u2018Behold, this child is destined for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be contradicted and you yourself a sword will pierce so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.\u2019 There was also a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was advanced in years, having lived seven years with her husband after her marriage, and then as a widow until she was eighty-four. She never left the temple, but worshiped night and day with fasting and prayer. And coming forward at that very time, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were awaiting the redemption of Jerusalem. When they had fulfilled all the prescriptions of the law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee, to their own town of Nazareth. The child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom; and the favor of God was upon him.\u201d<\/p>\n Luke 2: 41-52<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cAfter three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, listening to them, and asking them questions, and all who heard him were astounded at his understanding and his answers. When his parents saw him, they were astonished, and his mother said to him, \u2018Son, why have you done this to us? Your father and I have been looking for you with great anxiety.\u2019 And he said to them, \u2018Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father\u2019s house?\u2019 But they did not understand what he said to them. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.\u2019 Withdrawing a second time, he prayed again, \u2018My Father, if it is not possible that this cup pass without my drinking it, your will be done!\u2019 Then he returned once more and found them asleep, for they could not keep their eyes open. He left them and withdrew again and prayed a third time, saying the same thing again. Then he returned to his disciples and said to them, \u2018Are you still sleeping and taking your rest? Behold, the hour is at hand when the Son of Man is to be handed over to sinners. Get up, let us go. Look, my betrayer is at hand.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWhile he was still speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, arrived, accompanied by a large crowd, with swords and clubs, who had come from the chief priests and the elders of the people. His betrayer had arranged a sign with them, saying, \u2018The man I shall kiss is the one; arrest him.\u2019 Immediately he went over to Jesus and said, \u2018Hail, Rabbi!\u2019 and he kissed him. Jesus answered him, \u2018Friend, do what you have come for.\u2019 Then stepping forward they laid hands on Jesus and arrested him. And behold, one of those who accompanied Jesus put his hand to his sword, drew it, and struck the high priest\u2019s servant, cutting off his ear. Then Jesus said to him, \u2018Put your sword back into its sheath, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Do you think that I cannot call upon my Father and he will not provide me at this moment with more than twelve legions of angels? But then how would the scriptures be fulfilled which say that it must come to pass in this way?\u2019<\/p>\n At that hour Jesus said to the crowds, \u2018Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to seize me? Day after day I sat teaching in the temple area, yet you did not arrest me.
