The Seton Hall Pirates men\u2019s soccer team was founded in 1928. They have had 22 Big East Tournament appearances (14-14-6) and 11 NCAA Tournament appearances (5-11-1). Throughout the 2020-2021 season, the team and individual players were recognized for their talent and hard work. Mo Williams was named to the College Soccer News<\/em> National Team of the Week, as well as the Big East Weekly Honor Roll. Eden O\u2019Leary received a Big East Defensive Player of the Week mention. Paavo Riihijarvi also received a Big East Defensive Player of the Week mention. Jake Barrett received Big East Freshman of the Week. CJ Tibbling and Luca Dahn were both named to the All-Big East First Team. Dahn was also named Big East Defensive Player of the Week and was selected to the College Soccer News<\/em> National Team of the Week. Andreas Nota was on the Big East Weekly Honor roll three times as well as being named to the All-Big East Second Team. Johannes Pex and JP Marin were named to the All-Big East Third Team. JP was also in the Big East Honor Roll. Seton Hall was also just awarded Big East Coaching Staff of the Year (Andreas Lindberg, Ali Simmons, Jeff Matteo, and Dan Solli). The Pirates ended the season with their highest ranking since 1990 at #9 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll, they won the Big East Tournament Semifinal and will take on Georgetown for the Big East Tournament Final.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
