Motion<\/em>: Second\u00a0reading of\u00a0change to Article 3.2.a:<\/p>\n Motion<\/em>: To delete the first sentence of Article 3.2.a that reads \u201cProbationary appointments are full time appointments for one year or for other stated periods, and are subject to renewal by the appropriate dean\u201d.\u00a0 Replace that sentence of FG Article 3.2, with the following \u201cProbationary appointments are full time appointments for one or more years with the expectation of annual renewal given evidence of progress towards tenure as described in 3.2<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n In the event of a decision not to renew a probationary appointment, the faculty member shall be informed by the dean of the decision in writing, and shall be advised of the reasons which contributed to that decision. Establishment and review of a core curriculum for the university (FG 12.2c)<\/p>\n Whereas: The Senate\u2019s University Core Curriculum Committee is charged with making<\/p>\n recommendations to the Senate on matters relating to the design, revision, administration, and implementation of the Core Curriculum.
