The opinions expressed on this website are those of the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/projectwritetolearn\/project-faculty\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">authors<\/a> and do not represent the views of the OSEP or the U.S. Department of Education.<\/p>\n<p>PWTL provided program scholars who were graduate students in Occupational Therapy (OT) and Speech Language Pathology (SLP) a yearlong interprofessional education and practice experience that involved shared coursework, group assignments, and coordinated clinical experiences.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>PWTL spanned five years from October 2017 to September 2022<\/li>\n<li>40 program scholars completed PWTL (20 OT &amp; 20 SLP)<\/li>\n<li>The total grant award was $1,230,342.00 of which 65% of funds went to program scholars in tuition and stipend<\/li>\n<li>Program scholars have a service obligation to work in settings with students who have Individualized Education Plans<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>PWTL was an interprofessional education and practice course for OT and SLP program scholars that was co-taught by OT\/SLP faculty, to meet competencies developed for the project.
