Arnold Rampersad is a biographer, literary critic, and academic. He was born in Trinidad and Tobago and moved to the US in 1965. Rampersad was a Professor of English and the Sara Hart Kimball Professor in the Humanities at Stanford University from 1974 to 1983 before resigning to accept a position at Rutgers University.<\/p>\n
