It\u2019s also houses a field house where you can shoot hoops and play volleyball as well as a state-of-the-art fitness center for you to work out. There are a variety of classes you can take like yoga and spin \u2013 you can also join a club sport or participate in intramurals throughout the year. Athletic events are an important part of the Seton Hall experience from soccer in the fall to baseball in the spring \u2013 Pirate\u2019s love to cheer on their team!<\/p>\n<p>Attending men\u2019s and women\u2019s basketball games is an especially special experience for students. The women\u2019s team plays in the legendary Walsh Gym, and the men\u2019s team plays down the road at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. There are inflatables, food trucks, tons of activities, and a \u201csea of blue\u201d as students wear their Blue Day t-shirt to showcase their Seton Hall spirit.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><b>Christmas at the Hall Tree Lighting Ceremony.<\/b> During the holy season we join in a spirit of joy and generosity to celebrate our faith in the Christmas traditions at Seton Hall. The season begins by lighting our 60ft Norway spruce with over 40,000 lights and singing along to Christmas carols sung by our choirs, bands, and acapella groups. Students, faculty, staff\/administrators, alumni, and families come together on the Green wearing blue Santa hats and drinking hot cocoa to celebrate this joyous time of year.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><b>Pirate Statue.<\/b> Rub the Pirate statue\u2019s foot for good luck. The Pirate statue at the Recreation Center is a symbol of our Pirate Pride, and everything Seton Hall stands for. When you\u2019ve stressing over a test, worried about a paper or just need some good fortune, rub the Pirate\u2019s foot and good things will happen.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><b>The Seal.<\/b> Don\u2019t step on the seal! The seal is the formal symbol of our University, it\u2019s recognized by students and alumni world-wide as the symbol of all that Seton Hall has accomplished during its long history, and all that we will continue to accomplish in the years to come. As Pirates we respect this crest and we never step on it, or let anyone else step on it. Seton Hall tradition tells us that stepping on the seal leads to lower GPAs, prolonged graduation, and a host of other issues.
