The information that you provide may assist them in preventing similar crimes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>On Campus Safety Tips<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Do not leave your property unattended. Theft is the number one crime on all college campuses.<\/li>\n<li>Learn the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.edu\/public-safety\/emergency-phones.cfm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">locations of our emergency phones<\/a> from the map.<\/li>\n<li>Pre-program emergency numbers into your cell phone.<\/li>\n<li>If you see or hear something suspicious, call and we will investigate.<\/li>\n<li>Residence hall doors should be kept locked at all times. Never bolt or prop them open.<\/li>\n<li>Have your keys in your hand ready when walking to your car.<\/li>\n<li>When parking on campus do not leave valuables out in plain view in the passenger compartment. Lock them in the trunk or glove compartment.<\/li>\n<li>There is safety in numbers.
