I wanted to share with you all some songs I listened to during spring break. I didn’t go anywhere, so I used my playlist to make me feel like I got to get away somewhere warmer! A lot of these songs are just fun songs that remind me of summer but I also mixed in some new music that was recently released! I hope you find some new songs you like!

Why I Picked This Song: I was at my friend’s house over spring break and this song came on and I had to ask her what it was. I love this song a lot. Joe Jonas’s voice is giving off strong Camp Rock vibes which brings me back to my childhood. This song is way better than “Cake By the Ocean” and should have a lot more exposure.

Why I Picked This Song: All of my playlists so far have included songs by Jordan Davis, and it is because his music is fun and reminds me of the summer. He has an album “Home State” coming out soon and I am very excited. This song reminds me fun summer love and it is so cute.

Why I Picked This Song: This is about a guy waiting for a girl who has a boyfriend, but instead of being a downer like most songs with this theme, this song is really upbeat and fun. I can imagine myself listening to this song on the beach. Country music has a very summer-y quality about it, and Jordan Davis is really good at giving off a summer-y sunshine-y vibe.

Why I Picked This Song: Scotty wrote this song that describes how he proposed to his girlfriend and it is so cute. I am obsessed with engagements and weddings so I really like how this song really explains their story. It is super sentimental and I want to cry when I listen to it. It is so beautiful. I high key recommend listening to this song if you love love or have a heart in general.

Why I Picked This Song: This is the song for the 2018 World Cup. Like all the other World Cup songs this song is very up beat and fun. It doesn’t come anywhere near the perfection that was “Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)” by Shakira but it is a fun song and makes me excited for the World Cup this summer.

Why I Picked This Song: I was in Marshall’s the other day and this song was on. I liked how it sounded so I looked it up. This song reminds me of high school and driving around with my friends on a cool summer night with the windows down and singing to the songs on the radio. This song just reminds me of a lot of memories I really love.

Why I Picked This Song: My mom and I were watching the Voice over spring break and I thought Kelly Clarkson was so funny and cool, so I started to listen to some of her music. I really like this song, it is new and way better than her single “Love So Soft”, which I personally don’t like. Also this song is a pretty big mood.

Why I Picked This Song: This song has a cool sound to it. I really like Charli XCX, she has a lot of good songs, but not a lot of people listen to her music that isn’t played on the radio.

Why I Picked This Song: Logic’s Bobby Tarantino II mixtape is amazing. If I could include every song on this playlist I would, but I am only including 2. I really like this one because it mixes Logic’s rap and singing which I really like. He is really talented. This song is also really good for working out.

Why I Picked This Song: I’ve been listening to Jake Miller since 2012 when he was a “rapper” on YouTube. He has come a long way and has mostly ditched his rap career. He just released a new album on Friday and it has a few great songs on it. I really like this song because he has a lot of emotion in his voice and it is a kind of song a lot of people can connect with.

Why I Picked This Song: It is clear by most songs on his new album he recently had his heartbroken and he is so not over it. This song deals with a similar theme to “Permanent”, but it is another great song off the album. It reminds me of when you first break up with someone and you over analyze everything that happened, trying to figure out what went wrong.

Why I Picked This Song: This is a really fun song about a guy bragging about how awesome his girlfriend is. Whenever I hear this song I want to dance. It is a real feel good song and I can picture myself jamming out to it on my way to the beach.

Why I Picked This Song: This is 110 percent a summer song. It is really fun, as the title would suggest. It reminds me of sneaking out of the house during the summer to meet up with your friends and having a good time. Songs like these always make me smile and make me feel as happy and carefree as I did when I was young and dumb.

Why I Picked This Song: Would you believe me if I told you this guy was the lead singer of Hot Chelle Rae, the pop rock band that was really popular in like 2011 for their single “Tonight Tonight”? Well, it is. This year Ryan switched over to a solo country career and I have to say he is killing it. His self titled album is really good. I really love this song because it is really cute and I love love songs.
