And she has now completed her master\u2019s degree in Library &amp; Information Science <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ischool.sjsu.edu\/master-library-and-information-science\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">online<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0through San Jose State University\u00a0this past November!<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Jordan started as an intern at Seton Hall University Libraries in October of 2020. Jordan initially joined our reference team. She then branched out to\u00a0work on\u00a0projects involving\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">instruction,\u00a0Archives\u00a0&amp; Special Collections, and the Walsh Gallery.\u00a0One of her first projects was a\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/storymaps.arcgis.com\/stories\/04908f3c77264005b5773082e0556749\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">historic online tour of the campus<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">During this Fall semester at Seton Hall University, Jordan was able to coordinate several book displays virtually and in-person to celebrate <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/library.shu.edu\/2021displays\/HispanicHeritageMonth\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Hispanic Heritage Month<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/library.shu.edu\/2021displays\/lgbtqia\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">LGBTQIA+ History Month<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, and\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/library.shu.edu\/2021displays\/NativeAmericanHeritage\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">National Native American Heritage Month<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. She also developed guides to help students understand how to utilize <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/library.shu.edu\/hm\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Humanitarian Mapping tools<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0and how to use works from the\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/library.shu.edu\/walshcollections\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Walsh Gallery<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0in their own research.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">While working with the Archives &amp; Special Collections in the summer of 2021, Jordan was able to complete digitizing Civil Rights photographic slides for use by the Africana Studies department. These slides were in rough condition due to decay from age, but she was able to bring them back to their original look and feel through color correction.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Jordan observed\u00a0\u00a0that \u201cthese slides document the Civil Rights Movement as well as how the Africana Studies Department has developed their curriculum through the years. It is a great look back to see what the style was in the 1970\u2019s at Seton Hall University.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Jordan will be finishing up her adjunct position this month, and then it&#8217;s onward to new adventures.
