{"id":3407,"date":"2021-01-27T09:48:25","date_gmt":"2021-01-27T14:48:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/libraries\/?p=3407"},"modified":"2021-02-12T10:23:36","modified_gmt":"2021-02-12T15:23:36","slug":"love-data-week-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/libraries\/2021\/01\/love-data-week-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Love Data Week 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Seton Hall University Libraries&#8217; new <strong>Data Services Group<\/strong>, is excited to invite the SHU Community to Love Data Week 2021, to be held virtually February 8<strong><sup>th<\/sup><\/strong>-12<strong><sup>th<\/sup><\/strong> .<\/p>\n<p>Love Data Week (LDW) is an international celebration of data, aiming to raise awareness and build a community to engage on topics related to research data management, sharing, preservation, reuse, and library-based research data services.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Follow <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">&#x2764; Love Data Week &#x2764;<\/span> online at <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/LoveData21?src=hash\">#lovedataweek21<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s LDW theme at SHU is <em><strong>&#8220;Diversity and Inclusion in Data&#8221;<\/strong><\/em>. We want to support the SHU community with our data subscriptions (such as ICPSR and PolicyMap) and open source tools to promote finding data related to marginalized communities and BIPOC (black, Indigenous and people of color), and visualizing the information using impartial and fair methods. Programs range from a conversation about Algorithmic Bias and Data Ethics, Using PowerBI to identify diversity in your workplace, and finding thematic and minority data collections in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icpsr.umich.edu\/web\/pages\/\">ICPSR<\/a> (Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research).<\/p>\n<p>All are encouraged to learn about <a href=\"https:\/\/library.shu.edu\/data-services\">Research Data Services<\/a> now offered by University Libraries, including how to create a data management plan and data storage options with University Libraries.
