{"id":2966,"date":"2020-02-19T13:26:02","date_gmt":"2020-02-19T18:26:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/libraries\/?p=2966"},"modified":"2020-08-04T10:46:19","modified_gmt":"2020-08-04T14:46:19","slug":"art-feminism-wikipedia-edit-a-thon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/libraries\/2020\/02\/art-feminism-wikipedia-edit-a-thon\/","title":{"rendered":"Art + Feminism Wikipedia Edit-A-Thon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In conjunction with the Gregory Coates <a href=\"https:\/\/scholarship.shu.edu\/past-exhibits-2020\/1\/\">exhibition<\/a>, the Walsh Gallery and the Walsh Library host Seton Hall\u2019s first ever <strong>Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-A-Thon<\/strong> with support from <a href=\"https:\/\/feministartproject.rutgers.edu\/\">The Feminist Art Project at Rutgers University<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/libraries\/files\/2020\/02\/AF_Flyer.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Art + Feminism Flyer<\/a> [pdf]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Attendees will be provided with a list of artists who do not have Wikipedia pages, using the Miriam Shapiro Archive on Women Artists as reference, and with instruction on how to become Wikipedians (editors of Wikipedia) during the course of the workshop. Attendees will be encouraged to use their new skills to create or edit a Wikipedia page, and are welcome to create pages for artists not on the provided list.
