These testimonies are personal stories that describe the hardships of life during Hitler&#8217;s reign.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/holocaust.umd.umich.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Voice\/Vision Holocaust Survivor Oral History Archive<\/strong> &#8211; University of Michigan<\/a><u><span style=\"color: #107045\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/u>This online repository of Holocaust survivor oral histories provides a curriculum for teachers and in-class presentations and workshops for middle and high school students.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #993300\"><i>Children and the Holocaust<\/i><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.annefrank.org\/en\/Education\/Teachers-portal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Anne Frank House Teachers&#8217; Portal<\/a><\/strong><u><span style=\"color: #0066cc\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/u>The Portal<em>\u00a0<\/em>provides lesson materials and tips for educators about Anne Frank, World War II and various contemporary themes. Educators can also register for the organization&#8217;s free newsletter.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/comingofagenow.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Coming of Age in the Holocaust, Coming of Age Now<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\nThis is an interactive middle-school curriculum designed to accommodate classes of students working as a group.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.educationworld.com\/a_lesson\/lesson187.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Education World<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\nEducation World provides 10 lesson plans, which cover material about Anne Frank and Holocaust rescuers. They also engage students in various activities such as creating time lines and writing poetry and letters.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/kindertransport.org\/education\/exhibits\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kindertransport Association (KTA)<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\nEducators can take a virtual tour of <em>The Kindertransport Journey<\/em> <em>Museum Quality Traveling Exhibit. <\/em>This exhibit traces the epic journey of the Kindertransport from 1938 into the 21st century. You can also read KTA&#8217;s <em>Voices of the Kinder.<\/em> This is\u00a0a showcase for memoirs, stories, poetry and other\u00a0genres of writing by members of the Kindertransport Association.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vhec.org\/open_hearts_closed_doors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Open Hearts\/Closed Doors &#8211; The War Orphans Project<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nA group of young Jewish orphans immigrated to Canada after WWII as part of the War Orphans Project. Using their own words and artifacts, this virtual exhibit tells the stories of the orphans&#8217; courage and resilience. It also tells the stories about the tireless efforts of the people who helped them.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.holocaustchild.org\/index.php\/education\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">World Federation of Jewish Child Survivors of the Holocaust and Descendants<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\nVisitors to the site can read various first-hand accounts from child survivors. Educators can also contact the survivor and can learn how to prepare a class to meet a Holocaust survivor.<\/p>\n<h2><em><span style=\"color: #993300\"><strong>Concentration Camps<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"bold\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/cdim.pl\/en,1033\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Centre for Dialogue and Prayer in O\u015bwi\u0119cim (Auschwitz)<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\nThe Centre&#8217;s site offers a variety of education resources concerning the German Nazi Concentration and Extermination Camp Auschwitz-Birkenau.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.camps.bbk.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(The) Nazi Concentration Camps: a teaching and learning resource<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\nThis website provides an online archive of photos and documents, maps, films and testimonies. It also includes teaching resources, such as lesson plans about Nazi crimes and concentration camps.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/remember.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Remember.org<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\nOne of the special projects they&#8217;ve created is the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.remember.org\/auschwitz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Virtual Tour of Auschwitz.<\/a> This unique project utilizes 360\u00ba moving photos of the main camp at Auschwitz.<\/p>\n<h2><em><span style=\"color: #993300\"><strong>Art and Music<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/h2>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/holocaustmusic.ort.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Music and the Holocaust<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\nThis website&#8217;s articles describe musical activities that took place in camps and ghettos across Nazi-occupied Europe. Their wide range of sound recordings of music include songs written and sung by victims across Europe. Additionally full-length compositions, written primarily in Theresienstadt and in the post-war period, are available. The site also provides materials for educators who are interested in including music in their Holocaust commemoration events.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/fcit.usf.edu\/HOLOCAUST\/DEFAULT.HTM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Teacher&#8217;s Guide to the Holocaust <\/strong><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/fcit.usf.edu\/HOLOCAUST\/DEFAULT.HTM\">&#8211; University of South Florida<\/a><br \/>\nThis site provides an overview of people and events of the Holocaust through photographs, documents, art, music, movies and literature.<\/p>\n<h2><em><span style=\"color: #993300\"><strong>Rescuers<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.raoulwallenberg.net\/category\/education\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nEducators can download various lesson plans and other materials and resources on this site&#8217;s <em>Education<\/em> page.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/jfr.org\/resources\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jewish Foundation for the Righteous (JFR)<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\nJFR allows educators to download two units of study for free. One unit addresses the rescue of Jews in Denmark. The other focuses on Zegota, that part of the Polish underground that was established to help Jews. His impressive collection includes primary materials created by Nazi and GDR leaders and other propagandists.<\/p>\n<h2><em><span style=\"color: #993300\"><strong>The Nuremberg Trials<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/h2>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/nuremberg.law.harvard.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nuremberg Trials Project &#8211; Harvard University<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\nThe site presents digitized images of the Library&#8217;s Nuremberg documents, descriptions of each document and general information about the trials.
