While the messages are now sent electronically, the moniker \u201ccable\u201d stuck and the term is still in use today for shorter, encrypted diplomatic messages. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> Organ Trafficking in Egypt <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The largest Egyptian international organ trafficking ring has been busted according to Cairo-Egyptian authorities. <a href=\"http:\/\/english.aawsat.com\/2016\/12\/article55363500\/egypts-largest-organ-trafficking-network-busted\">Asharq al-Awsat<\/a> reports that the network had exploited patients enduring difficult economic conditions.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p><strong>China\u2019s Warning to Trump <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>China\u2019s Foreign Ministry has made it clear that Taiwan remains a core interest to Beijing, in reaction to President-elect Donald Trump\u2019s acceptance of a phone call from Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen. Trump has expressed that the US does not have to continue its long-held policy for recognizing Taiwan as part of \u2018one China\u2019 reports <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/china-says-extremely-concerned-trumps-one-china-comments-073037493.html\">Yahoo<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brexit: Reaching a Deal in Time <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>European Union\u2019s Chief Negotiator Michel Barnier said that time is running short for proposed negotiations. According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/uk-politics-38221140\">BBC<\/a>, the UK will need to reach a deal by October 2018. Mr. Barnier says that there will only be 18 months to negotiate.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trump\u2019s Sea Wall Plan Withdrawn <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Application for the coastal protection works near Trump International Golf Links and Hotel in Doonberg, County Clare has been withdrawn. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rte.ie\/news\/2016\/1206\/836923-trump-wall-doonbeg\/\">RTE<\/a> reports that the hotel proposed building a 2.8km sea wall to protect the golf resort. The Clare County Council confirmed that the revised plans do not include the previously proposed wall.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p><strong>1 in 4 Children Live in Conflict or Disaster Zones <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thursday, the United Nations Children\u2019s Fund said that more than a half-billion children live in countries affected by conflicts or other disasters.
