\nVolume XXV 2025-2026 Call for Papers
\nTheme: Contemporary Alliance Structures and the Changing Nature of Inter-state Relations.<\/p>\n

There is no greater question in the study of diplomacy and international relations today than what the future of the longstanding U.S-European alliance will look like. Beyond the West, there are many alliances around the world being restructured, developed, or torn apart. Consider, for example, the strengthening of Russian-North Korean cooperation, and BRICS’s path towards formal alliance status. Contemporary events call for revisiting the classic debate of whether alliances bring peace or conflict to the international system, and the relationship between great power competition and alliances.<\/p>\n

The Journal of Diplomacy is accepting articles that cover topics related to contemporary alliance structures and the changing nature of inter-state relations. Submissions should be between 3,000 and 6,000 words and are due Wednesday, October 15, 2025.<\/strong> Please forward all inquiries to journalofdiplomacy@gmail.com.<\/p>\n
