Once you’ve gotten through the first day (or days) of your new internship, the real work begins. Hopefully, your supervisor has already met with you and has given you a sense of the work you will be performing, the tools you will be using, the people you will be working with, and the goals he/she may have set for you. If this has not been done, you will want to schedule time with your manager so that you can get an understanding of the work you’ll be expected to do.
Learn to accomplish what’s asked of you. You may work alone or with others but must be accountable for the work for which you are responsible. Generally no one will “remind” you about due dates and a missed deadline is considered a serious lapse.
