Credit and Non-Credit Internships
If you choose to enroll in a credit bearing internship course, or if credit is required either for your major or by the company:
- Check with the hiring organization to determine if credit is required prior to accepting the position
- Contact your career advisor, who will explain the process based on major
- You will be referred to your department’s intern faculty advisor to complete a learning agreement (syllabus)
- Credit bearing internships are approved by The Career Center by the add/drop deadline
Note: The University requires ALL students to record non-credit internships on the Internship Form.
Tuition for the internship course, like all other courses, will be charged to your account during the semester you are interning.
