Accepting and Reporting an Internship

The University requires all students to record internship information, regardless of whether it is “non-credit” or “for-credit” or whether you found the position via Navigator or through an outside source.

  • Immediately withdraw your candidacy from other active internship search processes; “shopping around” for other internships after accepting an offer is unethical and viewed as highly unprofessional.  It may also impact future search efforts.
  • Comply with company policies and requirements for background checks. Seek assistance from your career advisor if you have questions regarding background checks.
  • Discuss the details and requirements of both credit bearing and non-credit internships with your career advisor.
