Restored tenement home at the museum on Orchard Street

Explore historically restored tenement buildings and discover how immigrants lived on New York’s Lower East Side in the 19th and 20th centuries and then take a walking tour of the immediate vicinity to learn about the rich history of the neighborhood.

This trip is most closely aligned with the Fourth Colloquium, so HONS2105 students will get “first dibs.” If you are an HONS2105 student, be on the lookout for the sign-up sheet in class. (The sign-up sheet will provide specific details about departure time and return time.)

Other Honors Program students and Honors alumni should contact Maisie, if they are interested in being included on this trip.
