QualLab\u2019s Advanced Methods Institute, also sponsored by the College of Education and Human Ecology at The Ohio State University,<\/span><\/b>\u00a0features\u00a0internationally recognized and award-winning qualitative scholars<\/em> who will share innovations in qualitative inquiry and strategies for application for readers\u2019 own research projects aimed to advance equity, diversity, and justice. The cost is $65 for students.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 2023 Institute\u00a0<\/strong>will be held virtually beginning at\u00a04pm EST on\u00a0Wednesday, June 7, 2023<\/strong>\u00a0and ending on\u00a0Friday, June 9, 2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The goals of the Institute are to:<\/span>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Provide groundbreaking interactive workshops on new and innovative approaches to qualitative inquiry that address equity and justice. These have been designed by some of the presenters especially for this institute\u00a0(attendees will be the first to learn of & workshop these new approaches).<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Provide information on the qualitative approaches we already know and love (i.e., new materialism, discourse analysis, photovoice, critical geography, performance ethnography, interviewing techniques) with a focus on the theme of this years\u2019 institute.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Equip attendees with tools to enact these approaches in their own research, scholarship, and practice.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Welcome publishers and qualitative software vendors so you may connect with each other.<\/li>\n
  5. Offer an additional engaging space to connect with attendees with similar interests so you may further your own \/ new research collaborations (i.e., a \u201cvirtual piazza\u201d or small \u201cdiscussion rooms\u201d for you break out into as you meet people whom you want to talk with during the institute).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
