From a recent AERA Division C newsletter:
Division C of AERA has sponsored a Youth Conference as part of the annual meeting for the past three years. The conference’s goal is to expose K-12 students to the process and practice of education research. Students participate in research interventions and then learn the science behind developing and evaluating them.
We need AERA members who are comfortable with Education Research and Upper Elementary Students and willing (able) to serve as small group facilitators for the duration of the conference. If you’re not comfortable working with students, we also need help managing things. (Just let us know!).
The ASK:
1. Attend a 30 – 45 min Volunteer / Facilitator training session on Zoom TBA
2. Attend the Youth conference on Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025 8:30am -12 pm
