Starting your graduate journey can be both exciting and overwhelming. Here are some tips to help you succeed:
- Create a detailed schedule that includes class times, study periods, and personal time. You can visit the Academic link on the University Portal in PirateNet and select Active Registration under Registration tools. When you click on a course for which you have registered, you can see the professor’s name and room location if it’s been assigned
- Connect with your cohort – these relationships can be invaluable throughout your program.
- Familiarize yourself with campus resources, especially the library and writing center.
- Don’t hesitate to ask for help when you need it – your advisors and peers are there to support you. Students also have access to the Ruth Sharkey Academic Resource Center (ARC) and Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS).
