Formed in September 2012, the aim of the network is to bring together scholars with shared interests to advance knowledge, develop methodologies, and encourage collaborative and comparative analyses of corporate actors and activities relevant to global health. Industries of particular interest to the network include tobacco, alcohol, food and drink, pharmaceuticals, resource extraction, medical technologies, and health care providers and insurers.<\/p>\n<p>A second workshop, funded by the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR), will be held to enable scholars to share and develop methodologies for analysing corporations in relation to global health. This meeting, convened by Professor Kelley Lee and Dr. Susan Erikson, will be held at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the network\u2019s commitment to build research capacity, and supporting a next generation of scholars, applications are invited from current PhD students and postdoctoral fellows to participate in this workshop. Applications from individuals from low and middle-income countries are especially encouraged.
