Projects must improve the CDS&amp;E ability of most, if not all math and statistics majors (or minors) at the home university and the strongest proposals will transform departmental and institutional culture.<\/p>\n<p>Proposals must include plans to: 1) develop undergraduate research and hands-on activities, 2) improve education and training for math and statistics majors and minors and 3) support faculty outreach\/development activities or workshops. Focus does not have to be equal across all areas.<\/p>\n<p>Projects can be 2-3 years or 5 years, with specific award amounts dependent on the availability of funds. The deadline is January 31, 2013.
