{"id":2383,"date":"2018-01-17T15:19:12","date_gmt":"2018-01-17T20:19:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/fundingopportunities\/?p=2383"},"modified":"2018-01-17T15:19:12","modified_gmt":"2018-01-17T20:19:12","slug":"grants-workshop-working-the-proposal-process-february-21st-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/fundingopportunities\/2018\/01\/17\/grants-workshop-working-the-proposal-process-february-21st-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"Grants Workshop: Working the Proposal Process February 21st, 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New and experienced investigators are invited to attend the first of our grants workshops on Wednesday February 21, 2018 in the Chancellor\u2019s Suite, University Center.\u00a0 To accommodate teaching schedules, sessions will be offered in the morning (8:30 \u2013 10:00 AM) and afternoon (2:30 \u2013 4:00 PM).\u00a0 This first workshop will be focused on the basic lifecycle of a proposal, from conception to submission and funding.\u00a0 It will include brief presentations from each of the main Grant Team offices followed by open discussion, questions and answers<strong><em>.\u00a0 This is a unique opportunity to meet with the full Grants Team in one session and our external consultant, Laura Lay, Principal and Director of Grants with Winning Strategies Washington.\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong>The planned agenda follows below.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Proposal Life Cycle and Introductions \u2013 Nicholas Snow<\/p>\n<p>Working with Governmental Sponsors \u2013 Fahim Abedrabbo<\/p>\n<p>Preparing Proposals in the New grants.gov Workspace \u2013 Franklin Williams<\/p>\n<p>Preparing Winning Federal Proposals \u2013 Laura Lay, Winning Strategies, Washington<\/p>\n<p>Corporate and Foundation Proposals \u2013 Jennifer Kosakowski<\/p>\n<p>Budgeting and Fiscal Considerations \u2013 Brenda Dunlop<\/p>\n<p>Open Discussion and Questions<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to attend either the morning or afternoon workshop on February 21, 2018, please send an email to <a href=\"mailto:grantsoffice@shu.edu\">grantsoffice@shu.edu<\/a> indicating which session you would like to attend.
