Applicants are encouraged to use a wide array of highly innovative methods and approaches. Possible research topics include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Life-course studies<\/li>\n<li>Kin availibility<\/li>\n<li>Siblings<\/li>\n<li>Family structure<\/li>\n<li>Childlessness<\/li>\n<li>Role of the family in healthcare behavior compliance<\/li>\n<li>Family networks and social networks<\/li>\n<li>The family as context for genetic expression<\/li>\n<li>Living arrangements<\/li>\n<li>New models to understand generational transfers<\/li>\n<li>Decision making and obligations<\/li>\n<li>Policy consequences in later-life families<\/li>\n<li>The role of technology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Application budgets are not limited, but should reflect the actual needs of the project. The maximum project award period is five years. Applications are due February 5, June 5 and October 5 until May 8, 2014.
