He is an international conflict resolution expert who has served in key academic and diplomatic positions for more than two decades. Prior to this position, Bartoli has served as Dean of George Mason University\u2019s School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution (S-CAR). He has also founded and directed the Center for International Conflict Resolution (CICR) at Columbia University\u2019s School of International and Public Affaris (SIPA).
