{"id":112,"date":"2014-10-16T10:05:20","date_gmt":"2014-10-16T14:05:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/digitalhumanities\/?p=112"},"modified":"2018-04-06T12:40:33","modified_gmt":"2018-04-06T16:40:33","slug":"a-short-guide-to-the-digital-humanities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/digitalhumanities\/2014\/10\/16\/a-short-guide-to-the-digital-humanities\/","title":{"rendered":"A Short Guide to the Digital Humanities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Digital Humanities, or more trendily know as &#8216;DH&#8217;, seems easy enough define.\u00a0 It&#8217;s digital, it&#8217;s humanities, it&#8217;s Digital Humanities!\u00a0 While the moniker seems fairly transparent for explaining what is Digital Humanities oftentimes after listening to someone talk about their DH Project many people are struck by the urge to say, &#8220;Yes, but what exactly IS Digital Humanities?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Enter <em>Digital_Humanities<\/em> by Anne Burdick, Johanna Drucker, Peter Lunenfeld, Todd Presner and Jeffrey Schnapp.\u00a0 No, really, the <a href=\"http:\/\/mitpress.mit.edu\/books\/digitalhumanities-0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">overview for the book<\/a> on MIT Press&#8217;
