If God is hiding, in other words, He is hiding in plain sight. &#8220;Thinkers of [a particular] school have a tendency to believe that the concrete is a symbol of the abstract,&#8221; Chesterton wrote in <em>The Speaker<\/em>\u00a0in 1902. &#8216;The truth, the truth at the root of all mysticism, is quite the other way.
