Culturally Harmonious Assessment and Intervention Language Lab

Advancing equity and inclusion in speech-language assessment and intervention for multilingual and multicultural children and their families
About Our Lab
The CHAI-Lingual Lab aims to (1) develop culturally responsive early language interventions and assessments that empower minoritized, multilingual families, (2) support heritage language development for children from diverse backgrounds, particularly those from minoritized communities who may have limited exposure to diverse speakers, and (3) use multidisciplinary approaches, including embodied cognition and intelligent tutoring, to enhance language learning interventions. We partner with families, educators, and clinicians to create meaningful, community-driven solutions.
