In October’s issue of Asia Policy by the National Bureau of Asian Research, Professor Ann Marie Murphy organized and edited a roundtable engagement titled “Southeast Asia Views America: Perceptions, Policies, and Prospects” with participating authors. Professor Murphy’s own contribution titled “America is Back? Opportunities and Obstacles to Restoring U.S. Credibility in Southeast Asia” examines the challenges of the Biden Administration to establish US Foreign Policy goals in Southeast Asia while facing changing committments to the region.
