Digital Humanities Faculty Learning Community

The Center for Faculty Development invites faculty to join the Digital Humanities Faculty Learning Community, which meets bi-weekly on Fridays at 10:00 via Teams. The goal is to bring together faculty interested in DH for conversation and mutual support. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to revise an existing course for inclusion in the undergraduate Certificate in the Digital Humanities and Data Studies. Revising or creating a new course is optional and is not required to be a member of the DH Faculty Learning Community.

Over the course of the semester, faculty will share their experiences integrating digital tools and instruction into the undergraduate and graduate curriculum. Guest speakers from both within and outside the university will be invited to discuss innovative approaches to DH course design, tools, and techniques. Some of the tools that we will focus on include data visualization, textual analysis, and digital archives. We will also continue our dialogue about AI. Additional topics will be based on the interests of the group members.

Interested faculty may also simply propose a course for inclusion in the DH certificate. Learn more about the certificate here.
