In the Walsh Gallery, &#8220;One of Us: The Making of an American Saint&#8221; celebrates the life and legacy of Mother Seton. An exhibition in the Archives Reading Room showcases numerous editions of Little Flowers of Saint Francis, an anonymous text published at the end of the 14th century. These editions, which were collected by Professor William Connell, date from 1718-1927.<\/p>\r\n<figure id=\"attachment_8400\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8400\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-8400\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/archives\/files\/2026\/01\/1000018864-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Exhibit featuring several texts, artifacts and a painting of Saint Francis\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/archives\/files\/2026\/01\/1000018864-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/archives\/files\/2026\/01\/1000018864-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/archives\/files\/2026\/01\/1000018864-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/archives\/files\/2026\/01\/1000018864-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/archives\/files\/2026\/01\/1000018864-1200x900.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/archives\/files\/2026\/01\/1000018864.jpg 2000w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 85vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8400\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Reading room exhibit featuring rare texts and a portrait of Saint Francis.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\r\n<p><br \/>The evening will include walkthroughs of both exhibitions and talks that address the continued relevance of both Saint Francis and Saint Seton today: <br \/>5:00-5:15: Introduction to the Walsh Gallery&#8217;s exhibit &#8220;One of Us: The Making of an American Saint&#8221; led by Gallery Director Emily Handlin.<br \/>5:15-5:30: Discussion with Father Gerald Buonopane and Angelica J.
