{"id":4816,"date":"2022-10-27T15:11:29","date_gmt":"2022-10-27T19:11:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/archives\/?p=4816"},"modified":"2023-07-18T09:11:39","modified_gmt":"2023-07-18T13:11:39","slug":"new-collections-available-to-scholars-in-the-shu-archives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/archives\/2022\/10\/new-collections-available-to-scholars-in-the-shu-archives\/","title":{"rendered":"New Collections Available to Scholars in the SHU Archives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One year ago, Seton Hall&#8217;s Monsignor William No\u00e9 Field Archives and Special Collections Center received two grants: one to process the papers of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.edu\/news\/university-libraries-awarded-national-grant.cfm\">New Jersey politicians<\/a>, and one to process the papers of <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.shu.edu\/libraries\/2021\/08\/special-collections-receives-19872-grant-from-new-jersey-historical-commission\/\">Irish fraternal organizations<\/a>.\u00a0 Apprentice archivists were hired and trained by Seton Hall staff, and they got to work organizing boxes of material, deciphering handwriting, and creating custom archival boxes for obsolete media such as LPs and Super-8 videos.<\/p>\n<p>The results are now ready for scholars:<\/p>\n<p>MSS 132 <a href=\"https:\/\/archivesspace-library.shu.edu\/repositories\/2\/resources\/492\">Papers of Arthur A.
