Group Mentoring, Group 4 Session 1

Tyler Orner, Leadership Class of 2015, began his first Group Mentoring session of the Fall semester with introductions and discussed what his group and mentors wanted to get out of the session(s). From there they progressed to have the mentors present a case study that one of the mentor’s company dealt with firsthand. Students were presented with details of the company and some background information. With this, the students discussed potential decisions that could be made and why they would make them. The executive who’s company dealt with this then explained what the company decided, how they arrived at that decision and what the consequences of the decision were. It provided the students with valuable insight as to how top level executives think critically.
