Three Minute Leadership – I AM… the Two Most Important Words in the World”

o: The Great Leaders Who Have a Passion for Continuous Learning

In his recent weekly blog, Ryan Walter, author, leadership coach and speaker and Stanley Cup Ring winner, inspires leaders with the words of Susan Howson, British mathematician: “I AM… the two most important words in the world…for whatever we put after them becomes our reality.” He asks: “Who are you when you say ‘I am’? What follows that?” The answer defines our reality… who we think we are… who we choose to be. Reflect a brief moment.

I am good, or… I AM great.

I am frightened, or… I AM powerful beyond my wildest dreams.

I am uncertain, or … I AM confident because I believe in myself and all that I can be.

I am stuck, or… I AM the creator and author of my life.

I am unhappy, or I AM finding beauty and joy in every moment, with every breath I have.

I am lost, or I AM in control.

I am frustrated, or I AM taking actions to resolve the situation.

I am struggling, or I AM redefining myself.

I am …, I AM ….

Who are you? What follows your “I am”? Is it the person you have chosen to be? Or is there so much more? Remember the beautiful words from Manifest: “Sometimes we live our lives like puzzle pieces turned upside down – only showing the world our gray sides. Then along comes life, and it starts flipping them over, showing to us and the world more than just the outline of who we are – it shows us the colors. If we can start to turn more over and put them together, we can see the picture of who we really are emerge.” May your turn over all the pieces. Dare to be more than you ever dreamed you could be!

Have a beautiful day and a magnificent week!!!
