Johnson & Johnson Case Competition

Johnson & Johnson once again invited the Stillman School to select teams to participate in its annual Business Case Competition. The competition required that student teams review and analyze information related to business strategies for a hypothetical health care or pharmaceutical company. Student teams selected their preferred strategy and made a formal presentation of their recommendation to a panel of judges. Teams competed first at the school level (the “On-Campus Competition”). The best Stillman team was then invited to advance to the Corporate Competition level, where it will compete against student teams from other universities.

Dr. Weitz, the Associate Dean of the Stillman School of Business, believes that the competion in itself is a challenging, rewarding experience. It’s a nice addition to student resumes and J&J uses the event to identify promising students.

Teams were to be composed of 5-7 students, with at least three team members who are declared Accounting or Finance Majors.  The J&J Business Case Competition is a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their business analysis and presentation skills and interact with J&J professionals. This year, two of the three student teams were composed of Leadership Development students.

Leadership Competitors - Freshmen & Sophomore Teams

The winning team was composed of both Leadership sophomores (Luciana Contuzzi, Kaede De Palm, Dwayne Greene, and Dhara Patel) and non-Leadership sophomores (Brittany Blomkvest, Earlene Cruz, and William Leahy). Using the same presentation as the first level, the team will move on to the Corporate Competition level at J&J World Headquarters, New Brunswick, New Jersey on March 29-30.
