It is also the starting point for the brunoise cut.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Batonnet<\/strong>: Translated literally from\u00a0<a title=\"French language\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/French_language\">French<\/a>, batonnet means &#8220;little stick&#8221;. The batonnet measures approximately 1\/4\u00a0inch x 1\/4\u00a0inch x 2-2.5\u00a0inches (6mm x 6mm x 5\u20136\u00a0cm).
